When Austin isn't playing baseball, he enjoys spending time hunting and fishing with his dad. He also likes hanging out with his friends or going to the beach. During the summer, Austin volunteers with baseball camps for younger kids.

Role models...
Austin's MLB Role model is catcher Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves. Austin admires Chipper because he is a long-time Braves fan and has always looked up to Chipper – who also played high school baseball in Jacksonville. He also admires his mom because she has done so much for him. She is always there for him – regardless of if it's paying for his baseball travel or helping him through a tough time.
