Austin Wilson is an exceptionally strong and broad shouldered 6-4, 200 lb outfielder from California who bears a strong resemblance to Andre Dawson. Wilson has very good bat speed and very strong hands. He hasn't learned to consistently turn and lift the ball yet but hammers hard line drives to the gaps. Wilson is a 6.76 runner in the 60 and is agile in the outfield and on the bases for his size but his big defensive tool is his arm strength, which grades out as well above average on the pro scouts scale. Wilson looks like a major league player and he has serious potential and tools. Scouts will be following him closely as he could end up being an early draft pick.
