Off the field with Brooks...
Brooks Pounders has looked forward to playing in the Aflac All-American Game for several years – he set the goal for himself as a freshman and is proud to have worked hard the past three years for the honor of selection to the team. Rooming with Kyle Skipworth (a member of the 2007 West Team) at the WWB Tournament in Georgia last year gave Brooks even more motivation to meet his goal.
Brooks is an athletic player who enjoys outdoor activities in his free time – he plays golf, goes fishing, or goes boating at Lake Havasu along the border of Arizona and California. Always looking to improve his game, Brooks also goes to the gym and works on his baseball skills in his time-off. In school, Brooks' favorite subject is English because he enjoys reading and creative writing. He considers his greatest achievement verbally committing to The University of Southern California to play baseball and continue his studies and says he's looking forward to studying and earning his degree from USC.
Role models
Brooks considers his father his biggest Role model because of all the countless hours he spends with Brooks discussing life and the future.
Hit PLAY and his MP3 player and you might hear...

Family ties...
Brooks' father was a 2-Time All-American at U.C. Riverside and a 3rd round pick of the San Diego Padres in 1984. He was also a member of their 40 man roster in 1989.
