Cowart is a 6-3, 190 lb right handed pitcher/third baseman and perhaps the best two-way prospect in the 2010 class. On the mound, Cowart has an easy, balanced delivery and long and smooth arm action that produces a 90-94 mph fastball with good life. He throws a mid 70's curveball with good command and is developing feel for his change up as he throws more innings. Although he projects marginally better as a RHP for the draft, it would surprise few if some teams evaluated him higher as a third baseman. Cowart has very good defensive tools and is arm strength from third is in the elite category. He's a switch-hitter at the plate with very good bat speed and middle of the field power from the right side. He also runs well. Cowart has made a verbal commitment to Florida State University. Scouts will be following him closely as he has early draft potential.
