Littlewood is a switch-hitting pure shortstop with a strong body and a loose upper half. His strong base gives him excellent balance defensively and an ability to make all types of plays on the move and still make accurate, quick throws. Littlewood's defensive instincts and soft hands in the middle infield are second to none in the 2010 class. Offensively, Littlewood has a smooth polished approach from both sides of the plate. He has shown a bit more raw bat speed from the right side of the plate, a line drive swing with some gap power. His left handed swing is a bit more pull/lift oriented. Littlewood comes from a very strong baseball background as his father, Mike, is the head coach at Dixie Junior College. Littlewood has a verbal commitment to University of San Diego. He will be followed very closely as a possible early draft pick.
